💪 Approach

I consider people, planet and animals within my approach and I want to work collaboratively rather than in a siloed way, copying and learning from nature - sharing learnings is so important - creating a mycelium network and influencing positive change

👑 Greatest Accomplishment

By far it is being named as PETA's Compassionate Designer 2023, then winning consumer product design award as a graduate at New Designers in 1993, then my B Corp certification, and lastly surviving in business for 18 years!

🎙 About Me

A lover of using design and nature to problem solve treatment of animals, people and animals. I am a voice for the voiceless in the interior design industry's supply chains.

💻 Experience

30 years experience post graduating in design, swiftly followed by an education in ethical business and sustainability thanks to working for hero Anita Roddick at The Body Shop's HQ.

What I Love…

Designing + defending inequity and unfairness.

WHat I’m Good At…

Designing, researching, sourcing, writing, celebrating, connecting people and encouraging!

What the World Needs…

Compassion and positive action towards a more sustainable outcome.

What I can Offer…

Designing spaces, creative problem solving, sourcing, advising on improving products for my industry – design, materials and processes, mentoring, helping fellow designers.

My Ikigai Is…

To show ethics and compassion can exist in my industry and to CAUSE RIPPLES AND WAVES.

What makes me unique

🥷🏽 Ninja Activist

I am known and liked (I think!) in my industry but have a foot firmly outside of it – in the vegan and sustainability communities. There’s quite a lot I can do in stealth mode like help to write the Sustainable Specification Guide for the BIID (my professional body). In short I find I'm listened to; the vegan word doesn't get in the way!

❤️ Welcoming and Kind

I like to think I am approachable, friendly and helpful - and not an ego!

👀 My Best Friend would say I’m…

Loving and loyal (I hope!).

“Chloe was fantastic to work with for the resign of Nordvegan Restaurant in Oslo. We wanted eco materials and Chloe was able to offer us a variety of choices from table tops to chairs and finishes that where eco and in some cases up-cycled"

Mark Galvin,
Nordvegan, Oslo

“From concept to implementation Chloe has been instrumental in designing four of our business premises in Brighton and Hove. Chloe loves designing living spaces for people! Her highly developed emotional intelligence skills, creativity and ethical drive sets her apart in her field!"

Kyriakos and May,
Nostos Hove, Little Jasmine & Simply Urban, Brighton.

“We had the absolute pleasure to work with Chloe on our new premises at Brighton Station. I have to say not only did she completely nail the brief but she delivered over and above our expectations. Working with her was a joy. She was efficient and professional throughout with the boring stuff (emails!) but also so wonderfully creative. I highly recommend and will definitely use her service again. Thanks so much!”
